Saying sorry or 'excuse me'

Imagine you stepped on someone's foot... ¡Lo siento!

Excuse me!

Saying "excuse me" in Spanish can be done in two ways: disculpe and disculpa. If it ends with an e you're being extra polite. You can use this if you need someone to move over a little bit, or similar situations.

Consider these:

  • Disculpa, ¿sabes dónde está el baño?
  • Disculpe, señor, ¿tiene hora usted?
